Penang time

Left KL flying to the North/West end of Malaysia to and island called Penang, Air Asia are digging up, after cancelling my original flight from Sydney this time it was smooth sailing. Dropped the others at their lush hotel while Damien and I headed to backpacker central called LOVE LANE a street full of hostels and activity. Love our place Red Inn Hostel,  paying $12 each a night with our own 'delux' room breakfast included, cheapest and nicest place so far on the trip.

It's their Ramadan here at the moment meaning they don't eat or work for a few days, pray and offer food etc to their god then they have a huge feast and party at the end. So we came at a bad time as most of the places and shops are closed, and I feel rude walking around while they're praying and stepping over the offerings, though it is all very interesting. We will just miss the big party leaving on the same night (hard to get travel as they're all celebrating but we've been assured we will be picked up).

Though there isn't much to do here we've had a really great time. Walking around the streets mainly to get to the other guys place and back to ours China town, drinking and having some baby time with Isla who is extremely popular being touched and picked up constantly, not blaming them though shes gorgeous. Spent time relaxing sneaking in Amanda and Suvo's pool, walking around the shops, I'm pretty close to buying a new camera as mine is kaput. 

We hired motorbikes for a day, while Amanda and Isla spent the day shopping. Went riding up the mountain getting caught in heavy rain, stopped to have pretty great tea though and dry off the lady giving us tables cloths for towels.

Bought some ponchos matching to our bikes, but it stopped raining straight after.

Was a great day seeing a waterfall and nice views riding down random streets.

Saw a pretty huge bike crash which caught on fire!! No one was hurt though I was scared it would blow up for a while there, was so out of the blue.

Spent that night at Little India, which just made me want to go to India! Amazing food and music.

And now we're off to the Perhentian Islands to relax a little more, such is life!
