Six weeks off work isn't as fun as its sounds, especially when you're stuck in iso! Not leaving the house besides to do groceries took its toll! I had Ruby home with me as well for our usual week on week off, with most of it being the school holidays and some home schooling weeks. School work was completed on Google Classroom though I did need to be there while she completed the work to ensure it was done properly and utube wasn't too much of a distraction. Meanwhile I was trying to paint the new clinic room and get set back up to start back at work, hence we sent Ruby to school that last week with the other "essential worker" families. Low and behold there was actually a lot of kids at school!! It's amazing how much kids need school as an outlet for emotions and energy etc and even Ruby realised that school isn't all that bad considering you get to see your friends everyday.
Iso and COVID has been an interesting social experiment and test for how businesses or events can still run from a distance! My yoga has been going ahead over zoom, which I actually prefer as I can finish work have a shower, do yoga and be all relaxed straight after and already be home. My course has started doing student clinic hours on zoom! Anzac dawn service still went ahead though with people paying their respects on their front drive way listening to the last post on an app. The 3 of us did our minute silence, made ANZAC biscuits and watched Galipoli. Camping was banned so we set up a roughing it tent in the back yard and have had quite a few fire pits. Slowly the restrictions eased and were are now allowed to have more people come over to the house etc. I have attended some outdoor bootcamp session with my gym with max 10 people. School has gone back! And things are starting to feel more normal...

The new clinic- working from home!
Bit of a paint job and fixer upper for the spare room/cinema room/junk room and it is now a beautiful massage room and work space for me. I have been working from home for almost 2 months now and really love it. I like having time between clients to do washing or house stuff or have lunch. I'm saving a lot of commute time and fuel not to mention RENT money and eftpos fees! Clients seam to have adjusted well, they really don't care where they are as long they get a quality treatment, and it only took me a day to get over the fact that clients/strangers were in the house.

Funny how you "don't know what you've got till it's gone". Interesting how we can all are adjusting to the "new normal".
Another great blog Kez. Packed a lot in. Half expected you to say you dropped your phone in the lake whilst taking pics of the other canoeists 🤣. Clinic really does look very professional, well done. Can’t wait to see your Bright pics. 🥰
This will be a great record of the effects of Covid! And its had some advantages by the looks of it. Well done doing such a great job on your clinic.
