COSTUME Elective

MY COSTUME: We had to design a costume for a character then we have to get it photographed by the 2nd year photography students in a SETTING. VERy broad criteria so you pretty much can do ANYTHING which is actually quite hard.

Ive designed a WARRIOR/FAIRY/BALLET/YOGA character... i am getting a 2nd year actor to model for me...

He will be wearing TIERED LACE SKINNY JEANS- AND A PATCHWORK STYLE PATTERN ARMORED KIND OF TOP WITH WADDING and maybe if i have time i will make a STRINGY VERY OPEN WEAVED KNITTED JACKET/CARDIGAN.

So this is my final design (the third one on the right)


These are my fabric samples so get an idea of how it will look maybe... im thinking of TRANSFER printing either under the lace OR over it so it actually might not be white but colorful ie with my designs/patterns


For the 2nd assignment for Costume Elective we have to design a Puppet and write instructions good enough so that someone would be able to make it... We don't have to actually make the puppet but i prbably will so that i know that my instructions make sense... here are some sketches.. its not due until 15th June same as my costume






The 3rd assignment that has already been handed in was to read the script for 'The Return' by Reg Crib and do a full script analysis/breakdown/costume and character breakdown= lots lots lots of work.. and then we had to do costume renderings even though we haven't yet learned how to do them... so here are my designs (ie the two men are thugs on a train who harass a young pretty girl)
