Well no mucking around here when there's a project to do. Dad decided no use talking about it, time to just get it done and came down for a very speedy jam packed 3 days. After picking up supplies and a dodgy cement mixer we got stuck into rendering the house! There was a bit of trial and error with colour choosing and getting the mix right, eventually deciding to hire a proper cement mixer! We worked as a good team with a pass up system, pretty high tech... Dad wasn't going to sit still though trying to get through a long list of jobs around the house and even doing a last minute chain saw of some trees as he was getting into the car to make it to Albury in time before Myles bed time PHEW! I was exhausted and had a nap when he left, I never nap!! We got a few metres done on each side however do have to re-do it due to not realising we needed to seal the bricks first, to stop the lines showing through. I can't wait for it to be complete and see the change it will create to the house.

And the renos don't stop there... I of course waited for it to be 40+ degrees in mid November to do a spot of gardening! Pulling out the front garden beds, planting a few trees and spreading wood chip. I drank a LOT of water and covered myself in sunscreen thought I still have a tan line, 4 months later on my back from severe sunburn.

I have been planning to re design Ruby's bedroom for a few years however was waiting for her to be old enough to be more responsible with nice furniture etc. Also with Christmas coming up I decided to give her a new room as a gift. Planning online and measuring her room I decided ikea was the best place to get supplies. So we made a day trip to Canberra.... Suvo and Amanda also having just moved into their freshly renovated house asked for some couches as well... Up at the crack of dorm we rolled straight in did the rounds, with Damien "lookin for the moose" speeding ahead in the shop, which you could spend half a day in if allowed... Going through the stupid tiny checkout was interesting however we packed it all in easy peasy. Then headed back to Griffith. To my surprise Damien actually took a day off work the following day and put it all together!!! He said it was actually wasn't that bad as far as flat pack usually goes. And here are the before, during and after pics. Fresh paint, clean carpet, new linen, art, lights, a throw, rug and shelves as requested by Ruby.

| Ruby loved being allowed in the spare room for the week, didn't keep it any tidier though. |

| Oh and I graduated Myotherapy in the middle of all that! |
