Unfortunately she fell/was pushed at daycare a few weeks before her birthday and got a hairline fracture of the 1st metatarsal on left foot!! She got the cutest moon boot to wear for 4 weeks to immobilise it while healing. You can’t tell a toddler to sit still so it was actually really sad sometimes when she wasn’t allowed on a jumping castle or do water play at daycare. We were in full blown toilet training by then however she regressed once she got the boot which made for an even more revoltingly smelly boot, and gross moments trying to change her over it. The boot is off now and she seams fine.

Harriet is very headstrong, doesn’t listen, and likes to lead, getting frustrated when it’s not done how she expects even yelling “no” a lot lately, running away hiding when she knows she’s done the wrong thing, she has a cheeky smile when caught in the act. She likes to say “you do it this way… sit there”. I allow her some power and fredom when playing however trying very hard to parent through this stage standing my ground with lots of bribery, counting to 3 and the odd naughty chair. The whining does my head in as I try not to react!!! She is however very good with her please and thank you.
She’s stayed in daycare 5xdays so it’s been pretty good. I’ve stopped tv in the morning meaning we usually have time to do an activity together like memory cards or playing back and forwards with her caravan and keys. Weekends we get the tough tray out with washing animals, sand play, pianting, sprinklers. I call it “Kerri’s Preschool” and invite people around for activities, parenting with friends is way better… she is allowed to watch a movie while Jazmin has her midday nap giving me much needed down time also.
She is starting to play more with Jazmin which also means she can be too rough pushing her over, pulling her limbs too hard or swinging toys into her face etc when Jaz cries I instantly say “Harriet what did you do”… it is so nice to see them laughing with each other already though and I can’t wait for them to interact even more.

She's growing so fast. Grandma and Papa love her and think she is really clever, even if headstrong!
