Easter 2025 with a newborn

Rhyme time Easter event
Easter always comes around once the weather starts to cool down, which makes for absolutely glorious days for playing outside. Dad and Jenny came to Griffith for a few days leading up to Easter to visit baby Jazmin. Being only 5 weeks old we are still on the couch a lot and trying to establish breast feeding. Harriet took 2 days off daycare to hang with Nan and pop. Jenny squashed in the back of the car with the car seats so we could go out to the Malt House, mainly so Dad could pick up some beer making supplies. It was a good activity walking around to the waterfall and play ground for Harriet. The next day we enjoyed a coffee and park play before more naps. It was great having them to help cook dinners and entertain Harriet.
Working through some dehydration and constipation
Harriet snuck out of her big bed!!!
Em and Steve and the boys arrived Easter Saturday after their Adelaide family holiday, and Matt, Tamara and Jasper made the journey from Sydney. The adult boys had a hard start at David Heaths beer festival party before we all enjoyed a slow cooked brisket at our place. As usual the cousins all had a ball being together, however this time there were more clean up rules in place!
Everyone had to have a "turn" of holding the baby
Traditional bubble bath mayhem
Sunday morning the kids were surprised with bunny footprints and chocolates! Every few minutes Harriet would be running around with a new unwrapped chocolate she’d found!! I spent most of the time breastfeeding Jazmin and letting everyone fend for themselves. The breastfeeding journey actually got better over the weekend surprisingly with me allowing a lot more time on the breast as it is easier when out and about, I also think getting a better fit for the breast pump has helped with the supply. We headed to DeBortolis winery for lunch and wine, I even had a sneaky half glass. It has a great set up for kids with a playground and jumping castles, and was so relaxing I fell asleep!! Harriet had the best time dancing to the band, eating ice cream, and running around with her cute bunny tail. We came back for pizza and early bed time!

So much sugar!!
Monday morning we woke to a wintery day and rain, after saying goodbye to the crew just our family went out to meet the Suvos and show Jazmin the river. The millions of flies were pretty annoying though Harriet had a ball getting dirty and missing yet another nap.
