We didn't go on a lot of Holidays last year with work, doTERRA and trying to save getting in the way, hence this year after buying a CAMPER TRAILER
I pledged to get away for more long weekends in 2019. Also we didn't get to spend Christmas together so headed off to Durrus staying in Damien's business partners permanent caravan, a great spot on the water pretty well. With no plans we drove around a lot checkin gout the small towns on the coast. Discovered a winery I thought would be great for a wedding, cough cough... lots of card games and the beach in the rain. Was so worth the trip, even though we didn't use the camper trailer in the end...

| We found a random winery and had a Proseco at Cupitts Winery in Ulladulla. Damien was driving so he didn't love it. |

A few weeks later a few of the girls decided we wanted a weekend away also and headed back to Baitmans Bay, people are going to think we love it there.. This time staying in Kate's family holidays house we've been to in the past, such a great spot right on the water with an awesome deck to enjoy it from. Was great to spend a few days with the new babaies in the group and see how our frineds lives are now with bubs, Sarah with Pippa who was so so close to walking!!! (actually started about 2 weeks after the trip) and Jess and Phil's boy Angus. We are so lucky to have such great friends who also own paddle boards and kaiaks!! Was a great holiday just doing what we wanted when we wanted and even a trip to kmart (a very important shop for Griffith folk, not having one or a Big W, the talk of the town).

We've been having Ruby for one week on week off since the start of this year and it has been good however a learning lesson in parenting a school kid ie news letters, parent teacher interviews, school excursions, after school activities and HOMEWORK! Once we got our routine organised and were super consistent with the expectations in our house its become quite nice and I find it easier to manage instead of having to set that stuff in place in just 2 days for a weekend etc. Ruby has a check list for morning, afternoon and bed time routines and can just check that off, saving me repeating myself every day. She earn stickers for prize out of it of course, we even have a boredom list and a mood manager list she can report to when in need, its worked wonders!! Thanks parents for being teachers, this stuff comes easily to me. It's definitely challenging at times, though we have some really good times too. Over the school holidays Ruby and I did lots of craft and tried to keep her off the iPad!! She has been going to art classes on the weekends and has shown a lot of talent there, even being in charge of the class art wall, she has to approve of any drawings before they are allowed on the wall. We have also enrolled her into Jujutsu, which she juts lights up in the face when talking about!! So good to see her loving life.
