SKINS

We had our first record for SKINS today.. I am SET DRESSER for skins this term which is all the items that go into the set (ie someone designs the set which is the walls and furniture) then i come along and fill it up with stuff to make it look lived in and authentic. After a lot o0f planning, meetings, painting and biuldiung we bumped in Sunday after Ag races so we were all very tired and iritable however managed to get the set up in good timing. We had great comments from lecturers and students even being told from the proddie lecturer Bruce that it was 'one of the best sets he has ever seen' ;-) so we and of course SCOT are all very proud.

Record was this afternoon ie my birthday which went very smoothly. It was shot in multy cam (3xcameras) and in live time ie so the 5 minutes of footage was shot in real time without breaks. This makes it hard for us as if something goes wrong in the set then too bad. BUT it went very smoothly and i was even an extra in one scene having to walk past the camera.

Bump out was really quick and we got out at 6 which is HEAPS early. It is a massive set, we have used every A FRAME in the warehouse and majority of the flats (poor fiorst yrs who have had to come up with something else for their KIDS SHOW as they have no flats) We have another 3 shows to do and will be using the same set for each so its not that much more work to do. We are able to change the set in small amount ie so the set evolves throughout the time and becomes one amazingly awesome set not that it isnt already ;-)
