When shit started hitting the fan (before we canceled the wedding) we were trying to decide where to go for a honeymoon and as restrictions were getting tighter the idea of a cruise or a destination requiring a flight such as Byron Bay were out of the question. Bright however is a short drive for a romantic getaway and was on the list. We decided to get away there for the long weekend even though the wedding was canceled and to test out the new Land Cruiser. We stayed in a Chalet on the golf course.

We mainly did a few drives around checking out the amazing winter scenery up early each day to see the frost and beat the crowds for brekkie. Having Ruby that weekend meant it wasn't necessarily a romantic escape but as she kept saying it was a "good experience" non the less. Stocked up on Quells travel calm we hit the windy mountain roads, and checked out a waterfall.
Dear and Emu Farm
As soon as we rolled into the farm surrounded by dear and emus Ruby had the door open saying "i'm out peeps, see ya later suckers..." and bolted out toward the animals. She loved feeding them and was nicely distracted while we sat and waited for our lunch in the garden court yard. A very relaxing lunch of venison and duck! A few wines and beer over a terrible game of putt putt golf.

Trout Farm the long way
We took the long way to the trout farm so that we could check out some 4 wheel driving.
