Melbourne

Damien and Suvo wanted to go see Theo Von (a comedian) so booked tickets for themselves and so thoughtfully for Amanda and myself as well. We left all the planning to the guys #Boys Trip. So we made a weekend in Melbourne out of it. Amanda was stoked to not have the kids in her bed for 2 nights! We left their farm in Coly arriving in Melbs about 5pm to check into our apartment Damien booked in Docklands with a great view. As Theo wasn't till 10pm that night we went out on the town getting the tourists bikes to get us to the cocktail places! A few cocktails and snacks filled in the time before the show which was full of 90% male audience, which we quickly found out was because he has a very crude, sexist comedy. Wouldn't have been my first choice of shows to see BUT it was #Boy Trip after all and there were a few funny parts.

Suvo and Damien had excitmatitis getting up at the crack of dawn going fishing in the mornings, even getting a funny pick in front of the Aquarium with their fishing rods! An exercise that meant getting the tram into town and everything just to take the shot. Amanda and I were just glad to sleep in! We had a late lunch and some shopping at the DFO before seeing the Dogs! Bulldogs that is. AFL that is. When in Melbourne... Again not really my cup of tea and #Boys Trip! It was a fun experience seeing the live game and seeing the die hard fans crackin' it, more entertaining for me then the actual game. Jam doughnuts, coffee and beers were had just to fit right in.

We booked to go to Maha for dinner, a very fancy Morocan restaurant I highly recommend. "Stylish and contemporary setting for creative Middle Eastern fine dining meals by chef Shane Delia".  I have been there before a few years ago with some friends. But couldn't get in till 9pm so filled in some time at the Casino! As you do in Melbourne. Damien and I enjoyed the game where its the highest card wins, easy to win and easy to loose.... I can see how people become addicted to gambling! So easy to spend money when its not 'money' just chips. Anyway we had 8 courses at Maha!! With paring wines! YUM!! 8 courses was actually too much I reckon and would do the 6 next time. It was also very late when we got hoe and were pretty tired.

Another sleep in, this time waking feeling not so great... the 8 paring wines and 2 espresso Martinis would have had something to do with it. Amanda went to visit her sister while we went to a Hunting Expo #Boys Trip. It was interesting for the first 10 minutes then got sick of seeing camo and guns, but the guys LOVED it. Back in the car and back to Coly!

A great trip and excuse to get away, we will probably be making it an annual trip, but maybe next time it'll be #Girls Trip!!!
