Easter bender

It was great to have Dad come down and visit ol’ Griffith over Easter. We planned a camping trip for his first night here as it’s something we do here pretty often, we decided it was easier to meet him at the camp and he ended up getting there at the same time! Was HILARIOUS seeing his car coming over to where we were through someone’s cotton paddock! (The GPS took him the ‘quick’ way). With the trusty camper trailer camp was quick and easy to set up giving us time for a spot of fishing in the ankle deep river!!! No fish was caught but was a nice relaxing place to walk and sit with a wine. Dad got up at the crack of dawn to make it to a ride in Griffith! Damien and I were awake all night anyway! (one of those nights) so we got up and lit a fire for halfa then packed up camp. Back in Griffith we'd put everything away by the time Dad got back from his ride.
We did the tour of the house (which is now officially ours!!), went over some ideas for the garden and shopped for our DEGUSTATION feast! Dad had put together a French meal plan with quite a few elements so we got stuck into the cooking a day early! The day of the feast we went around to the local wineries (the thing to do here in Griffith at Easter time) and taste tested wines to go with the feast, of course after the traditional Easter brekky. Di and Ruby were our guests having Prosecco and pistachios on arrival. Damien got his weekends mixed up with his cousin who was in town pick up his motorbike she is bought from him. So that through a spanner in the works having them stay the night but all was fine as they left to have dinner with Tony so we could have our dinner party. It was very tasty even Ruby loved it all, including the qual. We had a lazy day in on Monday with heavy rain.
Traditional Easter eggs on hotcross bun brekky!
I had a few days of work so Dad headed off to Albury while I raked in the dough. Then headed off to Albury myself and Damien went to Mildura for his annual cricket trip on a house boat. We had a delish hot pot for dinner which was just YUM!!! Finally checked out Din Dins restaurant Em's been talking about. Followed by the usual park run, still not able to catch up with my pregnant sister or 60+ yr old father!! A delish post run brekky! Dad and I headed off around the same time as I was going to Canberra for Lisa's kitchen tea and he back to Newy, we stopped for lunch together on the road.
The only shots Damien got/needed to show the house boat trip!
The 2 year engagement has has finally come to an end and the pre wedding celebrations are in full swing. Meeting up in Canberra on the first cold day of the year for Lisa's kitchen tea. The venue was really cool with astro turf inside garden vibe set up for high tea and weddings. Scones and cucumber sandwiches were had with tea and champers, and a spot of bridal games, which I won.

Life goes on back here in Griffith as it gets cooler. I attended a yoga workshop over 3 days run by my teachers sister who comes down every now and again, and is just so inspiring. We continue to care for Tony when he needs something including me massaging him every week, getting his computer organised as his communication is declining.
Cleaned up is room!
Griffith hosts a Mural even down Banna laneway, something to do one a Sat night.
