Madrid

I was only in Madrid for one night unfortunately as I stupidly booked a flight to Rome from Barcelona too early, the original plan was to make a circle around Spain and finish there, however I ended up spending too much time in the south. It would have been perfect to spend some time in Madrid and fly to Rome from there. BUT the flight was booked from Barcelona so I had to make my way there. 

ANYWAY I had one night in Madrid arriving late via blabla car, then leaving again with blabla at 12. I did walk around the city centre that night mainly to get dinner and also being Halloween the streets were full of people in costume, people really went all out. So that was interesting. I think I would have liked Madrid if I had some more time to see some museums etc BUT not all that devastated. 

 




I was 2 hours early for the car to Barcelona, being paranoid about missing any connections lately (something I do). Though I was nice to sit in a cafe and wait use the wifi and have a traditional spainish breakfast of toast with olive oil and mashed tomatos YUM!!! Of course with a 'cafe solo' espresso.
