New Start

Well I have officially finished UNI and received my last results for the degree and passed everything. I got a pass for Legal studies (the subject I did in a few days) and a credit for my other subject which included all my personal projects (Crack Festival, Oliver Price and Wizard of Oz). Giving me a grade point average for the course of 4.95 which is just off a credit average, I have one more subject still pending and hopefully it will bump up those 5 points into a credit average.

In the mean time I have settled into Georgie's apartment on Baylis St ie the main street.Though smallish, it is very comfortable and could easily fit 2 people ie there is a bed in the sunroom. It worked out really well as Georgie needed someone to live here/houses it and pay a small amount of rent while she is home for the holidays (she has one more year of study in pharmacy with Paula), and I needed somewhere to live for a few months to earn some money. I am glad I am still in Wagga, I would have been a little scared going off into the world somewhere by myself, not that I could afford it anyway, nor did I want to move back to Darlington Point/Griffith (not that I don't love you Mum and John). So i'm paying $65 a week and all I have to do is keep the garden tidy, I don't even need to do the lawn, even though I would have been happy to.

Here is a walk through tour of my new apartment.

I am using all of Georgie's stuff ie her bed and kitchen things which works out really well, it saves her having to move everything out and saves me having to buy a bed.

The Sunroom which has a single bed in it.

My view of the main street, can watch the drunks walking home on the weekends.

The UNI is doing major renovations all over campus, I have been working there with Jeff (fellow designer) helping clean and organise things. We have done a few shifts doing things like loading up the ute and driving a lot of rubbish to the skip, tidying the design room, the paint shed (was a huge job but looks amazing and is useable now, ie you can see the bench tops), building shelves etc etc We are cleaning the design warehouse on Monday, which they usually get the 1st year designers to do each year, however we are getting paid to do it because they are having a lot of people coming to walk through the UNI these holidays. Just the most perfect job, we decide when to start and finish, and it should lead up to Christmas. I am also coordinator for an 'Art Camp' the week following Fiji. There will be a bunch of high school students staying on campus and doing workshops in the design studio as well as maybe making a mini drama filming in the TV studio. I'm getting paid to be the coordinator which is basically the organiser Maurice's assistant helping with food and set up etc.

I'm yet to organise my resume and join Arts Hub.com which is where I will hopefully get a job
