Skiiing!!!

SUCKED IN DAD went skiing yesterday just cos... Well we I had two days worth of credits form last year when we had really bad whether and had to use them up by this year. Was going to go with John.S for a big weekend away but his back has become really bad (slip disk turned into a bulging disk), I tried to sell them but that didnt work, so I decided to be really nice and give Em half and go up to FALLS for a day (I just had to test out my new jacket). We didnt want to have to hire chains and drive on the windy road etc so we booked the bus from MT BEAUTY, it ended up being cheaper ie didnt have to pay for parking etc.

We got up at FOUR IN THE MORNING got our ski gear on and headed to Mt Beauty, got on the bus at 7:20 arrived at FALLS CREAK 50mins later, hired our boots and skis and headed up the mountain on the ski lift. It was the BESTEST EVER DAY clear skys, not much wind, not too hot n not too cold. The tracks were freshly groomed in the beginning of the day which was fantastic (started to get a bit churned up by the end), there wernt really that many ppl there either just a few primary school kids learning on excursions and a few snowboarders pulling some 'fully sick moves' in the terain park. Em and I found our favorite run called the SOUTH FACE which was just a really short, smooth track with a steap start so you can pick up speed and GO REALLY FAST... we had a few races there then headed over to the other side of the mountain (where I fell off the poma!!!).
