MY timetable!!

So this is my timetable for semester TWO of first year DESIGN FOR THEATRE AND TELEVISION aka TV

B&W DARKROOM PHOTOGRAPHY: Is just as it sounds, we take black and white photos on a manual camera and develop them ourselves. For our first class we used the enlarger to expose opjects that we had found ie leaves and sticks, we experimented with different exposure times to find which produces the best BLACK (6 seconds in pretty good). My first assignment is to capture two images wiith the theme "What Really Matters", im thinking of going with the saying 'Its the little things that count'...??????

DESIGN IMPLEMENTAION #2: This class is the follow up from design implementaion #1 BUT this time we are doing COSTUMES yay for the next 8 weeks we will be learning different textile techniques ie printing, dyeing etc and also making a costume piece (we have to actually write about who the costume is for and the character etc) VERY EXCITING would love to just do this subject for ever (we do do costumes again next yr)

THEATRE HISTORY: This is the theory part, we will be learning about ancient theatres ie the sets and layouts as well as actual performance techniques. We read a play each week and a chapter from our textbook about a different theatre ie Greek, Roman, medieval, elizabethan etc etc then we discuss the play and theatre in our tutorial. Sounds interesting!!

3D DESIGN AND DRAFTING: In this subject we are learning to draw in 3D etc so we can draft up sets etc We learn how to work and create in a 'space'.

So thats what I will be busy doing for the rest of the year in between socialising (hopefully going paintballing next wkend), working, seeing John whenever i can (going skiing together in 2wks), seeing as many plays as i can (course requirement) and hopefuly sewing up a storm when I get my new/old machine from Nanna working...
